Personal Reflections
On this day (4 February 2018) I was baptized by the Reverend Brian B. Chaffee, M.Div at Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
“For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. For one who has died has been set free from sin. Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.” — Romans 6:5-8
I am writing this years after the fact to fill in elements of my faith journey. This is mostly for the benefit of those who survive me after my death who, for whatever reason, may be curious about my life. Don’t make it morbid. It is a part of this human life that we must pass into death.
